The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 imposes new reporting requirements related to pharmacy benefits and prescription drug costs that apply to group health plans and health insurance issuers. On June, 21, 2021, the Department of Labor, the Treasury and Health and Human Services issued a request for information (“RFI”) regarding this new requirement. The RFI will help the Departments formulate rulemaking to implement this new requirement.
